So much to say. However, it's got to wait until tomorrow. I worked a hectic twelve hours on my precious Saturday, and I'm burned out. Will be back when my brain works again.

Yikes. Enjoy your rest. I hope it's a nice, long autumn's nap.

Brodi better not go there with Evertrue. ;)

I think this needs to be RTed, FBed, Reposted, etc. all over the internet. Because it's the best response I've seen regarding this issue. Obviously I can't say I liked Tris dying, or everything that happened at the end of Mockingjay, because both were extremely tragic and heartbreaking. But I thought both were fitting endings for these stories. They made sense, they were authentic. Honestly, I had expected Tris to survive. I thought someone was going to take her to the hospital and they would save her. I was really surprised when they didn't, and then I was sad. But honestly, I don't see another ending now. It had to happen as it did.

Yeah, I'm torn between thinking that nothing would have been lacking if she'd been left alive and that leaving her alive would have diminished the reality of self-sacrifice. You can't really be sacrificing yourself selflessly if you're sure you will live, right?
