Game On- Round #4
I'm going to be offline until next Monday, and since I want to announce the awards when I get back, I figure I'll just announce the next challenge prompts now. A little extra time never hurts anyway.
If you have any questions or comments that I can't get to today, message me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. On the off chance that someone posts an entry without a cut or there's anything else disruptive to the community, shangri__la will be around to delete it. :)
Remember that round #4 won't officially start until December 1st, so wait until then to post any responses. November is for Round #3 entries (of which there is only one so far! *bites nails*)
Round #4 will be held from December 1st until December 31st, and fics must be submitted (or linked to) during that time in order to be considered for awards. Again, please don't submit Round #4 fics until the first of December!

Challenge 1- Character Challenge
Character: Weevil
Prompt: The show ran for three seasons but poor Weevil never got a (live) love interest. So write one for him now. It could be an OC or a character we know from the show (slash is fine, too!), or a look back at his relationship with Lilly. Just let Weevil love someone long time! Any ratings welcome, though smut is highly encouraged.

Episode: 1.10- An Echolls Family Christmas
Prompt: How would poker night continue if Aaron hadn't been stabbed? (Thanks to sanya4 for this prompt!)
Challenge 3- Monthly Theme Challenge
Month: December
Theme: A Christmas Carol
Yes, it's that time of year again. Take a look at any Christmas- past, present or future- featuring any characters/pairings/ratings you wish.
*Mod note- Since I'm sure plenty of you are signing up for vm_santa (and if you aren't, you should!), know that this community is fine with you entering your gift as a challenge response as long as 1.) it meets a challenge (duh) and b.) It's okay with any other communities in which your fic is involved.*
Challenge 4- Table Challenge
December's Word Table:
(Yes, celtic_flicka, the random word generator has a dirty mind sometimes, but it's not me I swears it! I skipped its picks of 'cervix' and 'shaft' this round because even I thought that was too much.)
Write a fic using at least five of the words in the table (but hey, why not try for all 25?!). Any characters/pairings/ratings are welcome.
And finally:
Challenge 5- Ten Year Reunion
This challenge won the last poll, but don't worry if it wasn't your pick. Your choice challenge will come around eventually!
Write a future fic featuring a high school or college reunion, or less specifically a fic that takes place approximately a decade after any point in the series (10 year anniversay of Lilly's death, or 10 years since that night on the roof of the Neptune Grand, or a look at Veronica, Logan, Mac, anyone at around 27, 28, or 29-years-old...you get the picture). All characters/pairings/ratings welcome.
So that's Round #4! You've got almost three weeks this time to get those ideas churning before the challenge is open! Remember that we're still accepting Round #3 responses now, and the sooner the better! Thanksgiving for us Americans is right around the corner, and then the rush of Christmas starts instantly, so it's always better to not put things off if it can be avoided. :)
Also remember to not post Round #4 responses until December 1st. You can either post the story to this community or simply link to it, and all of the rules still apply. See this post for guidelines and volunteer betas, should you decide you need one.
Please spread word about Round #4! Feel free to take the banner to advertise it, too. The more the word gets out, the more fic we're likely to receive!
The theme challenge for January will be Fanfic Squared, so remember to sign up to offer your work if you are still planning on doing that, or if you plan on entering a fic for that challenge, take a look at what's on the table already so you can get ideas/start writing now.
And finally, don't forget to vote in the round #2 awards poll, which will close Sunday night.
