State of the Comm
I have put this off for as long as possible. I’ve given myself the last two weeks, hoping circumstance would be different but unfortunately, they’re not.
Let me first just say that I have enjoyed this community more than you will ever know. The participation and support that you all have given has overwhelmed me with happiness. When acinogan first approached me with the idea, I wondered how well it would go over since the show’s been off the air for a while. However, the response was more than I ever hoped for. It just goes to show how deeply a really good show/movie can affect you.
I want to share with you all what’s been going on behind the scenes. I have not been able to contact acinogan since January 10th. I am praying that nothing has happened but it’s simply not like her to completely go off the grid like this. I can’t tell you how worried I am. UPDATE: faded_facade has heard from her so she's okay, at least peripherally. She has been my friend, confidant and best VM gal pal for well over a year. I simply cannot run this community alone and it would seem so empty without her.
And not that I don’t adore this re-watch comm more than anything, but these past few weeks have served to remind me how much I miss writing. It’s my first love and I have had very limited time to write and read fanfic since we started the community.
So, what I’m trying to say is that I will no longer be able to keep this community active. It was a very hard decision to make and I did not do so lightly. I will not delete the community. Hopefully one day, maybe before everyone forgets what VM is all about, I can come back to it. Possibly even sooner if I can find a way to limit the time I have to spend on it. I can tell you though, there are no words to describe how much it pains me to leave you all with the re-watch unfinished. I will miss you all and your daily comments, terribly.
Of course, on a positive note - I’ll still be around! Feel free to PM or email me; love_is_epic [at]comcast[net] anytime. I mean it! ☺ I’ll be writing, hopefully lots, and I hope you all will read some fanfic and watch some videos. Keep the VM love alive!
