Recruiting viewers for this Wednesday's new episode

Mar 12, 2006 13:08

Okay, everyone. It's officially four days until Veronica Mars begins its final stretch of the season. And come 9PM Wednesday night, we need as many people sitting in front of their television screens as possible. And so comes our campaign goal for the next four days: To get everyone to recruit at least ONE new person to watch the episode on Wednesday.

For help on convincing a skeptic, GO HERE.

Three Things To Tell Said Person:
1) New episode on Wednesday
2) No more hiatus for the rest of the season, so even if you're an impatient person you can watch the last nine episodes happily.
3) The first few minutes of the episode is available on UPN.com if you want to get a sneak peak.

If people feel lost after Wednesday night, don't forget, you can easily direct them over to MI.net where all the summaries of the last half of the season can be found.

Don't think you can recruit one specific person? Have you already hassled everyone you know? Do you just want to do more? You're in luck. We've made flyers specifically for this event. Are you a college student? Hang them up around the campus, your dorm, and on your desk. Still in high school? See if your school will let you hang them around. If nothing else, there's always your locker! No longer in school? No problem. Bring them to work and stick them on your desk for fellow workers to see. Friends with people who own shops or grocery stores? Ask if you can hang them up on the bulletin boards or on the cash register counter. The trick with these flyers is simple. To get people TALKING about the show. The rest will lend itself, in time.

Now, the flyers are full-size (8.5x11) images, so you should be able to print them out without any resizing. And don't back away if you don't have colored printer. We've got the black and white versions that work just as well.

Yes, black and white images on white paper is dull, but it doesn't have to be. If you can, get some bright colored paper (pink, blue, or green, perhaps?) to print them out on. It makes a world of difference.

NOTE: For some printers, you may have to size the image down to print it fully on one piece of paper. If you don't have a graphics program, ImageShack can help you resize images.

Disclaimer: All flyers are simply manipped old UPN posters. All images belong to UPN and their designers. We claim nothing.

Have any other flyer designs? Simply link them in a comment and we'll be happy to add them!

Once you get that new person lined up or hang up those flyers? Make sure you're counted. Help our curiousity. Fill out the poll here.

And don't forget about the Mood-Matching Campaigns. Feeling depressed, excited, frustrated, determined, or just plain geeky about the show? Use this as a guide for how to use those moods to help the show in the next coming weeks.
