Apparently, my sense of smell needs a somnolent workout, because I've had overwhelming scents in my dreams as of late.
The one I can recall last night was ginger. Specifically, a ginger perfume I sometimes wear (which is delicious, and which I should really wear more often). I dreamt about spritzing it on my wrist and smelling it. I know I didn't actually do this in my sleep, because when I woke up I just smelled the same as I always do.
So I wonder what the significance is of me smelling ginger. Ginger is used to treat inflammation, it's good for quelling sick tummies, and it's just kind of a general panacea. I do find the scent to be particularly intoxicating, kinda sexay, and also quite calming.
The dream interpretation websites say that smelling something in your dream means that either 1) you're picking up the scent that's already in the room and incorporating it somehow, or 2) you're thinking of the way the smell makes you feel. Other dream diaries suggest that dreaming of smelling ginger denotes a love affair.
So...what was I doing in the dream? Deciding to fly to Vegas to elope. WORD.
EDIT: Here's what
Rob Brezny has to say:
Scientific studies have proved what we all knew already: A person who's only mildly interesting to you will probably become more attractive if you drink a couple of pints of beer. What if I told you, Virgo, that in 2010 you could regularly create the same effect without drinking the beer? I have it on good astrological authority that this will be the case. Due to fundamental shifts in your relationship with the life force, and having nothing to do with how much alcohol you consume, the entire world will often be at least 25 percent more attractive to you than it ever was before.
