Feel free to link to it or gak it and repost. I've had this saved in my favorites at YT since election night. I remember scouring YT for vids that night. It was...what a rush that night was. What brought it down for me was the fact that Prop 8 passed, too. But it's being hammered in the courts, and looks like we're gonna win that fight, too. Oregon was gonna have a ballot initiative for marriage equality this year, but looks like they're holding off til next year. So cross your fingers, we might get a chance to add Oregon to the list of states that anyone can marry in.
I remember well Prop 8 passing and how that made election night bittersweet. However, since then, it's been amazing! Still can't believe that the two lawyers who argued Bush v. Gore are together arguing against Prop 8! It just goes to show that it's something people from different sides of the aisle can agree on!
You remember me crying on the phone!?!?! OMG, what a night that was! Then I went to SF that next Saturday to the Prop 8 rally, then the next weekend we met downtown. God I miss that. And I'd really like to see The Hobbit with you.
I came to check out LJ the other night and saw this...I was at that No on 8 rally, too. What a gorgeous day that was, being surrounded by LGBT & supporters, then going to Dolores Park afterward.
