What a Tuesday!
In the early morning hours, I signed up to join MySpace - www.myspace.com/vloveg
I prowled about looking for people I knew, including a search through people who said they were in my graduating class. I found several and it was kind of surreal. I have covered the major bases in case anyone ever wants to find me for a class reunion. ;-)
All of this staying up late led to my oversleeping and not getting to work until almost 2pm. Since I was quite late yesterday as well, this was not good. Nevertheless, I managed to accomplish all of the things that I had planned for the day. As I was wrapping some of these things up, I got a call from my temp agency that included a request that I call back ASAP. When I did, the rep explained that they had received another complaint about my tardiness. My boss worked out a compromise that I could work part-time in the afternoons. Last chance to prove myself. Incidently, this is also a shove to look for another job and get some writing done. I was supposed to send a resume and cover letter to CBE, I should do that now. Basically, I'm going to look at this as an opportunity. Incidently, it's a blessing that they didn't decide to just fire me (although there were apparently some people who wanted that).
The true miracle of the day though, was when I told my parents. They barely blinked, they were so calm. Just really matter-of-fact that this is an opportunity to find something else and that I need to do well. Praise Jesus!!! Alright, time for bed!
