So my mom and the mother-in-law from hell were down this weekend.
First of all, I realized how very much I miss my mom (insert sad eyes here) and how very much I am happy Sean's mother still lives in Pittsburgh.
The weekend was not nearly as unbearable as I thought it would be. And the mother and son did get some super secret alone time in the AM of Saturday as there was some kind of autograph signing that couldn't be missed.
Mom and T and I went for brunch to Sean Donlan's in Annapolis...it is always soooo tasty. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a cool Saturday afternoon...and $2.50 Bloody Mary's which helped with dealing with Bunny..HA!
I am a Creative Memories consultant now and have been trying to be very good about "preserving my memories". As most of you know...I have no space, at all, to call my own, but I think I have done an acceptable job of keeping everything organized and as aesthetically pleasing for the most part.
I have been tossing around the idea of getting something to organize everything, a nice cabinet or trunk or something like that.
The irritating mother-in-law chimed in this weekend with "Don't they make something you could store your craft projects in?"
I wanted to respond with "Yes, they do...and it is called, my house" but I was far more reserved and responded with "As a matter of fact I have been looking at some furniture that would be able to double as some storage" Sometimes I have inner strength that I didn't even know existed.
I did get back at her though...I was saying how excited I was for Sean to be going to Vegas on his golf trip 'cause I would have 6 days to clean and organize the house the way it needs to be. The mother-in-law says something along the lines of...well now all Sean is going to do is worry on his vacation. I responded with...and there are 2 trash days in there too=) I laughed...she cringed and I was loving every minute of it.
Sadness for the Steelers, but it was one hell of a game!!!
