with wonderful friends, cocktails, sky chairs and retail therapy =)
It was so nice to get away. The fog was enough to make me want to turn around and head back to Maryland, but I made it through the fog and found my way to my special little haven. A quaint little bunglow situated in historic Ligonier Valley in the heart of the scenic Laurel Highlands belonging to one of my oldest and dearest friends.
It is so hard to explain the feelings I have when I am there. I wish they could be everyday, but realistically, I know they can not. I am okay with all of that right now, but I can't say that as I get older that I will be as accepting that it can not be my everyday.
The hustle and bustle of city life is just non existant in good old Ligonier and sometimes, I think I just need to escape the city for a little while and I will be okay. But returning makes it even more difficult to deal with the hustle and bustle 'cause I know it isn't like this everywhere...UGH!!!
On to an odd thing that I came across this weekend in Ligoner...the town newspaper gets published once a week...yes, they don't have enough stuff that happens on a daily basis to necessitate a daily paper ;) but I digress...in the most recent edition of the paper, to what do my wandering eyes come across but a marriage announcement..."of who?" you ask...the ex-fiance, Matt...he got married on April 16th...
