and, no, Ms. Siu, not the kind of drama that you are used to=)
There is comfort in knowing there are still some good, honest people in this world!
The long and the short of it...I am leaving the office last night, a little later than normal, but it was Monday and they are always crazy
::side note:: I swear the students here stay up late at night on the weekends to think up stupid questions to bombard us with on Mondays. ::end side note::
walking to the parking lot (yes, they make me park in a lot and not a garage here) thankfully with a woman from the office...I look at my car and think it looks crooked, then I just toss that thought up to my parking capablilities:) But as I am walking closer and closer to my car, the thoughts are stronger and stronger that something is not right with the car...and sure enough everything was not alright with the car.
Someone crashed into the front of my car...on to the good honest people part...they left a note with their insurance information, etc. They had already called in a claim on the accident, so when I called, it was relatively simple.
The inconvenience is inevitable, but right now, all I am waiting for is the tow truck to come and take my little car to the hospital to get all stitched up.
The rental car company wanted to give me a 2 door Chevy Cavalier...I asked the lady at the counter if she was out of her mind...she sighed...I explained that I drive a 4 door car and the very least they could do for me was to give me something similar to which she responded with you could upgrade to a Crown Victoria for an additional $3/day...I couldn't resist responding in my nicest tone that I am not the one that crashed the car, and althought the inconvenience is unavoidable...blah, blah, blah and that the very least they could do is provide me with a 4 door compact car...to which miracuously appears a Nissan Sentra with 4 doors...that we all know was there when she offered the Cavalier and was still there when she tried to sell me the upgraded Crown Vic...UGH!!!
The tow truck (ambulance) just arrived to take my vroom, vroom, vroom to the garage (hospital)...what a pain in the neck!!!
LKB and IFD sittin' in a tree =)
