Kenley of Project Runway rockin' the feathers
So I've really been into the feather hair-clip/hairband thing for a few months now. I never find them in stores and Etsy sells them but for an exorbitant amount of money. Like, $30 for a hairclip? No thanks. So I decided, why not make my own?
After the cut, my some-what step by step process.
1. What you need:
a. feathers (I used pheasant feathers bought at Jo-Ann's);
b. hot glue gun;
c. hairband/hairclip/whatever;
d. a fabric backening--but not necessary.
I asked my mom to hold the glue gun while I took this picture. I know, I'm waaaay lame.
The ends of the feathers are all this fluffy gross stuff, so I had to pull them out/cut them. This is the carnage:
