anyways, Im in the DC area trying (and failing) to save up money so that I can get to europe and work on films out there.
Right now im revising an application to this low residency MA in Communication graduate program. Im trying to skip the undergraduate step. Its pretty sweet, if I get in, i'll get to study with all sorts of crazy cool filmmakers, artist, philosophers, and theorists. cool huh?
after this application is finally done im going to start calling and emailing all of the contacts I made this summer at the fantastic International Film and Video Workshops in lovely Rockport, Maine. I was working as a Course Manager (essentialy a glorified TA) and got to work on alot of really sweet advanced classes for everything technical in film. I managed to avoid working with the summer camp kids because the guys in the film office knew how much I drink and smoke. The kids naturally put out some of the most creative stuff, but i got to work with guys that work in the industry for a living. I even managed to impress this guy Charles Roberts who was teaching an Editing Master Class and he asked to come back next summer. I said "hell yes" cause It means taking the class for free.
