1. Solar panels for charging mobile phones and other devices. These panels produce 470 watts peak. This is the maximum amount of energy they can produce. It depends on optimal conditions, like the air and the sun it could produce up to 470 watts.

2. This solar cooker focuses the rays of the sun to a central point. It is made of steel and aluminum. It's a very simple process. Like I said, it just focuses the sunlight and it creates a lot of heat so you can make pancakes, eggs. You can use it like a frying pan. It works just like a cooker. It's 1.4 meters which means you can cook for up to 20 people with this device. You can adjust it according to the position of the sun

This costs 300 euros. But, this is a big solar cooker that cooks for 20 people. Smaller ones are available for purchase. You can also make one by yourself at home.

This is a solar water filter. It's basically the same idea as the other device. It focuses the sunlight and usually in 20 minute to half an hour it heats the water to 200 degrees.

4. Sunny Maker and tee.

3. Onur. I am from Turkey. I work for Green Peace Mediterranean. I was part of the team who setup the solar tents here in the park. We decided to bring the solar cookers, solar ovens, solar timers, solar lamps, and panels to show people that renewable energy is the solution. This afternoon I will have a workshop where people will be able to cook with the solar cooker and oven. They will also be able to create their own solar cooker. With the solar panels we will charge the batteries that provide electricity so that during the night we can watch movies, we can charge our phones.

4. Solar pancakes

5. The Turkish national dish

6. Solar Oven. When we make a Turkish pilaf we use the water from this filter. Also, we have this solar oven right here. We made this here, it is very easy. I can explain the system. The air inside gets hot and the sun reflects. It works just like an oven. The core is wooden and this is an aluminum slide. This has two pieces of glass. It helps locks in the air. In here it's metal, painted black to make it resistant to heat. It works like an oven. Usually with ovens you don't open and close it very often. It is the same with this solar oven. After an hour of pre-heating you can make many things like rice in an hour, baked potatoes and vegetables in 2 hours, and I think with meat you can cook it in 3 hours. It depends on where you are and the position of the sun. I think now we have good sunlight. But if you were in Southern Spain, or other places that are sunnier it cooks quicker and easier. I will show you how it works.
