Nick should be faxing the final piece that should get us accepted to the new apartment complex. If everything goes right, we can start moving in tomorrow. This has taken way too long, and they've asked for way too much. It'll be nice to get it out of the way and finally know where we are going for sure.
My parents are going to give me $200 to go over and feed the dogs for five days while they're off in California. I liked getting extra money in the first place, but if I can pull off what I'm hoping to, the $200 will be especially awesome.
I'm trying not to get too excited. I need to talk to my boss about some possible days off, and of course it is during our biggest Tucson adult tournament. It seems hard for me to get anything from work, but I am still optimistic. Especially since I have covered for a lot of people, and I have only missed one day of work in a year (with no sick pay).
I'm also still extremely tight and nervous. I've been doing an extremely limited amount of work. I've got to get on it before it hurts me too much.
Alex and I went to Agua Caliente two days ago. It's a nice little park with LOTS of turtles. That's always a good thing. We also saw some fish and ducks. It was neat to see a little oasis in the desert.
Yesterday Alex and I went to Colossal Cave. I hadn't been there in ages. The tour was nice, not too pricey. It was also just good to drive out there by the Rincons. Those are vastly underated mountains. Perhaps when Nick comes, we'll all go down to Kartchner Caverns. It is $5 per car plus either $18.95 for the Rotunda/Throne Room Tour or $22.95 for the Big Room Tour. The Big Room Tour does not open until October 15.
Speaking of October, Alex continues to get me excited for the glorious former 8th month.
What else can I possibly say? I can't think of anything either.
Oh wait, there is the plague that YHWH (Yaweh) has cast on my cousins in Pittsburgh. Charlie got his wisdom teeth removed, not too bad, Andrew has a virus like shingles, my Grandma went to the ER yet again, this time with possible aneurysms in her wrists, and Eric is getting an MRI soon to look at a lump in his chest. It is a rather scary plague. I really want to visit them. Especially since my Grandma is now saying things like "Iwon't be around much longer," and "I won't buy a dress for Charlie's wedding in May until it is two weeks before." My Aunt also said she thinks my Grandma isn't being pessimistic, just trying to have a realistic perspective.
