Meet The Team: Announcer

Aug 24, 2011 15:18

I am the Announcer and the lone female staff member of Videoland: Reloaded.

You may know me from such games as Final Fantasy MUSH, Multiverse Crisis MUSH, and a variety of others including Persona and SRT. I have been MUSH, MOO, and MUXing for 8 years, and while I may be the youngest of the crew, I certainly make up for it with enthusiasm and a willingness to do anything to make this work.

I was also not around for the original Videoland, but I loved being on Multiverse Crisis enough that to have the chance of bringing such a uniquely spazztastic game that when the albeit quiet call went out, I went, 'yeah, sure I'm in', and here I stand.

My bit is the Announcer from the Team Fortress 2 games, and as such you will get to hear such shenanigans as me yelling 'guest in the base' via @wall, because if I'm going to play the crotchety old woman in charge of a lot of things, then by hell I'm going to make it fun for me and hilarious for the rest of you.

I believe we are not casting off the old and making way for the new. Sinistar did wonderfully for the original Videoland and what we're doing now is taking the old, tossing in the new, and mixing it up into a glorious video-game based multi-theme where you have Bayonetta flirting with Saxton Hale and the Pyro chasing Mario around learning how to shoot fireballs.

Because, in the end, if it's not fun for all of us - staff AND players - then we're doing something wrong.

That's what it is for me - it's about a game where even if we lose half of the players, where if code breaks, we can still be excellent and have fun.

Welcome to Videoland: Reloaded.

Pick your map wisely.

- Announcer

NOTE: @wall abuse is not funny and I acknowledge this! Don't worry, I won't spam.
