in love with life at the moment :)
So, I had a pretty amazing weekend :) It was just full of awesome things. 1. 2 days off in a row 2. went out drinking Friday night with a guy that I like hardcore and had bunches of fun 3. Sunday was Katie's 12th birthday, which was super fun also!
On top of all that, I've lost 9 pounds in the past 9 days! I've been eating super healthy and working out on a regular basis. I know that this time it will matter because I am making smart permanent changes.
I've been reading Bukowski a lot lately and just.. god, the man is a fucking genius. I get so charged with ideas whenever I read him. He's like a poetry-writing super hero. And, he was older than me when he started writing poetry!
anyway, thought I'd share something I wrote some time ago. I'm not sure what the connection is, but perhaps I'm reaching out for some super poetic power..
dear mr. bukowski,
there's too much passion
in these words
in my eyes
in the way i interpret his every move
there's just too much
and i think that all
these super good feelings
might make me want to die someday.
even though i'm full of this intense life,
there is no love.
in this light, there is nothing.
nothing to live for.
nothing to die for.
nobody to hold.
nobody to reach out to.
nowhere to run.
nowhere to hide.
all the songs have been sung.
all my touch has been stolen.
all my heart has been broken.
and,
on nothing,
I float away into the moonlight night and disappear..
even though your empty eyes don't see me,
I will always be here.
