Altra was off somewhere, having left Karal at the door to his room after the Dawn Rites. This wasn't a problem; he'd be back soon enough, and Karal knew his way around

"Morning, Aravia!" He felt like he was vibrating slightly, and he turned in his seat to smile at her as Altra lifted his head so he could see her. Are you well today?"
Shhh, I hadn't had coffee yet, you're lucky I got Karal's name right!. He frowned slightly while ALtra's tail went twitch, twitch, twitch. "I suspect it may be because of the taps," he ventured, tapping a pen on the desk in time with Altra's tail.
"Not wrong, precisely..." He trailed off, thinking about how much Aravis loved chocolate, then grinned and turned to find a clean mug in the desk drawer. "Here," he held it out, "go and find out."
"It came as quite a suprrise this morning," he said, laughing quietly. "And there seems to be no limit to it. Altra and I may have drunk more than we should have, but it's just so nice!"
Karal boggled, then grinned. "You could! I think it would be rather sticky, ut there's always the pool to rinse off in, if all the taps are pouring out hot chocolate...Hmm, unless that's chocolate, too."
He put his chin in hands, watching her through Altra's eyes, and grinned at her expression. "It's good of Fandom to give us something nice for a change. Usually the weirdness is a nightmare, not a dream."
She had not yet discovered the chocolatey glory.
