Semester Break (why do they have a semester break???) Update
First day of two. With possible snow behind it. Although I'm thinking rain...
It has been a good day. I have made vegetable soup and bread pudding (with the cinnamon raisin walnut bread made locally). Finished off the shepherd's pie for lunch. NO WORK. Took #2 to dance practice. He is getting rather good at this. *beams* Worked in yard until my neck said 'no more'. Got a few more bags of leaves. My yard is knee deep with leaves in places. I try to look at it as compost on the forest floor. Until it starts to strangle plants. Brought in wood for the fire. Did I mention NO WORK?
Started on archiving again at AO3; I am up to 20 stories, with three of them multi-chapter. It's a slog but I get to read them again as I post them, so there's that. I still love Lennier/Ivanova, I just do.
Finished a second story for the V Day thing atno_shadows_fall . It's not very good, but it may get better. It's an idea I've been playing with for a while. More exciting is the fact that I've outlined parts 2 and 3 for Heart's Desire (short title), my Susan/Delenn epic.nolivingman , you should be pleased! There was more story there, just like you thought! Now I just have to write it!
My hands are aching with the cold. Now also my wrists and elbow and shoulder hurt. Still no problem according to the docs. So it's mega-doses of naproxen for me. It goes well with red wine, right?
R is coming back from Buffalo and should be home momentarily. No bone marrow biopsy this time, thank the gods. His numbers remain good. He is researching other sources of this drug, as it is prohibitively expensive in the US of A. Paid for through the trial. There's that 'cadillac insurance' for you. Teases you with coverage, then drops you off a cliff.
I am obsessed with those bead charm bracelet things. I got a few beads for Christmas and more today (ostensibly an early birthday present from me to me). I plan to make one in all the colors of Delenn's robes. Purple and red and blue. The current one is blues and blacks and I love it. Maybe an Earthforce one in blues and browns? An Army of Light one in black and silver? Another Delenn one in browns and greens? No one will have a clue what I'm doing, will they?
Halfway through X-Files S2. Aubrey still freaks me the heck out.
I had to re-watch a bit of 'And the Rock Cried Out' and it still works. I haven't written kiss fic in a while; it's not quite working. Must need more practice...
