Okay. Just got back from seeing the production of The History Boys that's currently on at the West Yorkshire Playhouse - and oh, it's good. The Drummer Hodge scene was so good (with Hector frantically trying to balance the composure of a teacher with his own devastation), and the ending just broke my heart: "Someone dies at school, and you remember ( Read more... )

We'll all be broke and with bad backs but... Jamie P is playing Prince Hal in Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, from 6 June to 2 October and 3 July to 3 October respectively. Passes out with joy!

And if you do make it down for a performance, my office is just round the corner from the theatre, and I'd be more than happy to stand you some lunch or a bite before the theatre. Your fics are amazing and it'd be good to return the love!

... oh dear oh dear. I think I'm going to have to try and make it down at some point. Are tickets likely to be expensive for that? *is about to become an impoverished student* :D

*flaily blushes* That is so wonderfully sweet! *hugs* ♥♥ My summer plans are all up in the air atm (and all centred around the 19th of August - Results' Day, funfunfun), but idk. I'm totally going to have to look that up.

*flaily over Jamie Parker* *as per* :D

Tickets to sit are £15-£35, but you can stand in the yard as a groundling for a fiver (and if you get in early, you can get right next to the stage) - good value if standing for a couple of hours is feasible (i'm too old and too loving of my comfort). If you sit, it's generally on long benches, but you can rent cushions and a sort of folding wicker back support (which makes a huge difference ( ... )

OH I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOU. *flails* We're up North, y'see, so we don't get half the fabulous shiny plays and whatnot up here - AND SUEDE THIGH HIGH BOOTS WHAT WANT NOW.

*more flailing*

You're making me exceedingly jealous, you know. I may have to steal your life. *shifty eyes*

(Sorry this isn't a longer/more coherent comment - but I think I died at "suede thigh high boots". :D Pictures??) ♥

From the North myself - ran away to civilisation after uni!

Have my life - it's not so glorious at the moment. Far, far too much work...

Oh the boots were lovely - and especially so when worn by the gorgeous Mr P. Especially combined with the open white shirt. Well, that thought will get me through the day
