Hermes' Poem

Feb 18, 2010 17:20

Hermes,

Great Son of Zeus,

You who speaks across time and space

Through the wind blowing on my face

I smile as I think of you

Sweet messenger of love and truth

One thousand words are not enough

To pen to You the amount of my love.

I try to describe what you are to me,

And the words continue to elude me.

Flight of mind, body, and soul,

I think of you and lose control...

I realize the beauty of letting go,

Of those things I always thought I knew.

Humbled by your vast reporoire,

I sit before you in a state of awe.

I can only hope to know a fraction

In this life, of what you know

I hope and pray to live like you

In justice, peace, an d harmony

Be my guide I asked thee.

Then one day in the darkest of nights,

You took my hand and showed me the light

Not outside myself, as much as within

Something I have had since the beginning.

I only lost my way

And forgot to see

The answer right in front of me

To recieve love and harmony

I must give love freely

I thank you Hermes, handsome son of Maia,

For your teachings and love you bestow on me.
