yeah so about how i'm still in mo. i really want to be by finney and them... if only they were here... argh. talked to katy like a day ago finally and we alked abouteverything that has happened rcently. sean's in t, anne's in vancouver canada, justina is in north carolina.... mike's in venice, finney's in amite, carol's there too, and jp... i don't know where marshall is at the moment.. but anyways...
my family is in new orleans right now. working 16hr days to fix their business... and we lost the house in mississippi... and the 1964.5 mustang passed down from my grandfater to my dad...all his work is gone. i guess.. whichreally blows for im. i feel bad for my family..and everyone.. i wish this didn't happen, but alas there really is nothign you can do when mother nature chews your ass out for trying to live on the water.
anyone else think 2 immensely strong hurricaines is some sort of omen to get out? a preview as to what may happen to the whole city
i mean considering what happened in the 9th ward.. what did you think would happen to humanity ...for the sake if sanity.. i mean we were literally unleashed on eachother, in the midst of a traumatic situation... with no food or water for 4 days? no one from our source of government coming in to new orleans to stop the suffering of american citizens for 4 days?? come on.. .no one sane person would expect anything less than anarchy...and debochery, and twisted foul play.. it was meant to happen, and only natural. wtf?
and then the toper off: Bush: "i think we should reconsider building new orleans.." yeah fuck you mother fucker... and look at houston tx now.. not so trivial is it? hits home doesn't it? thats right bastard... lick it up. not houston of course but bush... freakin idiot..
anoother thing about this whole spin on katrina.. into recism? WTFWTFWTF?!!?! i am so shocked that this is being turned against the people of new orleans.. through the media they are implying that the people of new orleans were practically THE advocates of racism for this day and age?!!?? wtf?
my point(s):
1. people in new orleans who have lived, visited, or grown up there realize from the begining...
that everyone who lives in new orleans must come to acceptance with the fact that one might be living 2 blocks or houses away... may be a person from a totally different race/ social status/ or any other difference...
so we don't care bc we are forced to live in the same city, together.
2. when anyone is used to being with a diversity of ppl. day to day... they learn to respect differences of humankind. when you respect and love the differences in culture that most of society sees as a threat... you have a unique perspective of the "violent" situation. we as citizens feel betrayed bc we do not support racism and it is the fears of others who are outside, such as bush and the government, maybe those out of state.. and these are the ones who are not even fully aware of the inter workings of the unique population of such an eccentric city...who are throwing these accusations of hate.
we may be able to joke about it, but when itcomes down to it most of the people down thee love the fact that you can onverse with an indian, a native american, an englishmen, a frenchmen, or any other country... in the matter of a day if one chooses to.
