In other nerdy news. It is also National lightening awareness week..and it happens to be storming. Think it can't happen to you? My mother was struck twice. And a man in Marquette was killed by lightening just last weekend (see why I was worried when we were out in the boat sweetie????). Some lightening do's and don'ts:

1. DO go inside! If you can't go inside go in a car. If there are no cars its safest to be in a dense forest (as opposed to under one tree).

2. DO NOT lay down in an open field. Although it is bad to be the tallest object in a storm, laying down only increases the surface area touching the ground (more people are struck via the ground than directly in the head/body while standin. INSTEAD, crouch into a ball and balance on your tip-toes. Tuck your head down into your chest...and cross your fingers.
