When I hear 3 Libras come on my stereo, it makes me feel so overpowered with sorrow and self motivated strength. My past is plucked by the melody and reminds me of disappointments like an annoying stain on your shirt. The feeling is so overwhelming that I most times I close my eyes to see something other then what is in front of me.
the song slowly builds to the roaring cry of ultimate exposure, and all of my impurities and shames are revealed to all who look. Feel naked and stripped of hopes. And then… I stand up. Put my thick skins back on and turn the page on the memories of what my layers of life that page around me.

A feeling and memory of Roads by Portishead kicks up dirt of a very raw and breathless evening. My mind will always be reminded with the snap of that drum. I find myself with a sly silky smile on my face. I close my eyes and remember it was dark, late, & we were by the front of the water with a warm rain pouring down on us. Friends were back at the bars… We were in the shadows consuming each other while Roads was playing in a car near by. The will to hold back could no longer be ignored. Tight grasps and pushing back on the stone wall with the water sounding off the hard warm summer rain. My lip biting thoughts and dreams were finally fulfilled. All I could feel was breathless and wanted you to feel supreme and consumed me… more then anything at that moment. The rain encouraged the need to feel each others tangled wet skins..... Intense rush of blood explodes and all I can hear is breath and that haunting beat with the violins creeping up in the background. In each others arms we find comfort and release. Then all grew silent but the fall of the warm summer rain.
