I just realized something...
The reason all my heroes are fictional characters is because there is no one in reality that is worthy of my admiration.
Fictional characters (Hinata, Korra, etc), though they are not real in the sense of being flesh and blood, are still real because they possess within them our hopes, dreams, fears, doubts and our deeply held ideals in life.
Real people (ie basketball players, business leaders etc) are just what we settle for to admire, because we are afriad to dream, to believe, to go beyond our limits and stretch a little further in life.... to make the impossible possible.
That is why when you say I'm immature, that I need to grow up and stop watching 'cartoons'... it really hurts. It is like you are telling me to give up on life and what I want to achieve and what I want to bring to the world.
So, please stop ridiculing me for my heroes, because I certainly don't ridicule you for who you settled for.
I'm going to keep dreaming, and I'll keep believing.... and I'll never go back on my word...
Because that, too, is my nindo..... my ninja way! -Hinata Hyuga
