It’s been years now since we’ve stopped talking with each other. Maybe because we’ve gone tired of everyone dictating what we have to do. Or maybe we just need time and space on our own to realize what we had and what we longed for the most. And I longed for you, Kazu.
Yes, I see you everyday because we belong on the same group. I get to see your smiles, hear your voice and laughter, but it was never enough. I want to be the one to put those smiles on your lips. I want to be the reason of your happiness. I miss your hugs and kisses; I longed to be with you.
I knew that it was my idea to end our relationship. Even though the pain still kills me now, I never regret doing things for your happiness. You may think that I’ve stopped caring about you, but you have to realize that it’s not true. I love you so much that I’m willing to let you go, so you can see a better view of the world without me blocking your way. You have so much to explore and if being with me prevents you to grow, I’m willing to take the risk of being separated with you. Even if it hurts me, even if it’ll cost my own happiness, my life, a life without you.
I guess I’m being sentimental again because it’s the Christmas season. It’s this time of the year I longed for you the most. I wish to hold you and kiss you, and just be with you but I know it would not happen, not anytime soon I guess. Not with me doing nothing but to look at you.
I’m writing this letter without any intentions of giving it to you. I know I’m a fool and I’m being very stupid at this very moment but I’m just scared of how will you react if ever you know how I feel about you, how I’ve always felt about you.
I wish I could say I love you and I miss you so much. And this Christmas all I want is you.
Jin
Jin sighs before folding the paper in two. He’s been writing letters every Christmas since they broke up. He always feels empty when Christmas season is approaching. So writing a letter gives him somewhat a breather from the pain of losing Kazuya.
Jin immediately put the paper on the back of his pants when someone opens the door. It didn’t surprise him when he saw Kazuya and Ueda entering the room.
“Good morning! Merry Christmas everyone!” Kazuya addressed the room happily.
“Merry Christmas!” The people around greeted back happily except for Jin who immediately stands up from the chair in front of the dressing table assigned to Kazuya.
“Merry Christmas”, Jin mumbled quietly. “Excuse me, I’ll just go to the NEWS dressing room,” Jin said abruptly before leaving the room, a blush tinges his cheeks.
Kazuya stared longingly to his leaving ex-lover. It still pains him that Jin chose to treat him coldly after they broke up. ‘I guess that’s his way of saying that we’ll never have a second chance.’ Kazuya said to himself before going to his dressing table.
Kazuya was about to sit when he saw a folded paper under the chair. He was about to throw it to the thrash, when curiosity hits him. Unfolding the paper, Kazuya was surprised to see his name on the paper written on Jin’s familiar penmanship.
Forgetting everything, Kazuya read the letter. Tears freely fall down his eyes after reading the letter.
“Kame?” Ueda said surprise evident on his voice.
“I-I need to see Jin. I need to talk to him.” Kazuya said before leaving the room.
The rest of the KAT-TUN members just stared with each other.
“What happened?” Koki said to the members.
“I have no idea”, said Junno before continuing his game.
“Maybe it’s for the better”, Ueda said a mysterious smile appearing on his lips.
Junno, Koki and Maru stared at Ueda curiously.

“Jin!” Kazuya burst out after knocking several times on the NEWS dressing room. His face instantly turns red when he noticed that everybody is staring at him.
“Uhm… Hehehe… Anou… Merry Christmas… Did you see Jin? I need to talk to him.” Kazuya said blushing a little more.
“Merry Christmas to you too, Kamenashi-kun. He’s been here but he and Yamapi decided to go to the cafeteria earlier.” Koyama answered.
“Thanks…” Kazuya said before running towards the cafeteria. He badly needs to see Jin. ‘Let me find you Jin.’

Kazuya hurriedly runs to the cafeteria but stops when he saw Yamapi walking towards the entrance, Jin nowhere in sight.
“Yamapi,” Kazuya said almost out of breath.
“Kame-chan, merry Christmas!” Yamapi said before smiling at him brightly.
“Merry Christmas… Anou… Where is Jin? Koyama-kun said he’s with you.”
“Oh. You’re looking for Jin, eh?” Yamapi said while looking at Kazuya meaningfully.
“Yes. Please tell me where he is.”
“He said he’ll be going to the rooftop~” Even before Yamapi finished his words, Kazuya hurriedly run to the stairs up to the rooftop.
‘What the hell are you doing up there Jin?’ Kazuya said to himself. ‘Hell, it’s freezing cold!’ Kazuya runs faster just thinking about Jin freezing cold.

Jin is staring blankly at the white space before him. He can’t feel the coldness surrounding him, not with his heart being colder than the snow. He was startled when he hears footsteps behind the close door.
“Jin!” It suddenly burst open and before Jin could even react, he found himself lying on his back, Kazuya on top of him.
“Kazu?” Jin said, astonishment evident on his voice.
A tighter hug answers him.
“Kazu?” Jin said again.
“You dummy! What are you doing here at the rooftop? It’s freezing cold!” Kazuya said.
Jin suddenly feels the coldness of the rooftop. It’s really cold compared to the body on top of him.
“Kazu?”
“Yes! You damn dummy! It’s me!” Kazuya said.
Jin snaps out of his trance saying, “What are you doing here?”
“I was looking for you, Baka.” Kazuya said while looking at him intently.
Jin stared disbelieving at Kazuya. He can see worry, pain and something else on those lovely eyes that staring daggers at him.
“Huh?” Jin blinks.
“I was looking for you.” Kazuya said before getting up.
Jin instantly feels cold upon standing up. Kazuya really brought warmth to his life. Without Kazuya it really feel so cold. “Why are you looking for me?”
Kazuya retrieve the letter on the back of his pocket.
“You forgot this on the dressing room.” Kazuya said before handing the letter to Jin.
Recognizing the letter he had just written earlier, Jin felt all blood drained from his body.
“Is it true Jin? Is it true that you still love me?” Kazuya said in a quiet voice.
‘There’s no use hiding it anyway…’ Jin sighs. “Yes, I never stopped loving you, Kazuya.”
Tears started to form on Kazuya’s eyes.
“Then why did you break up with me?”
“It’s… It’s because I’m getting on your way, Kazu… I somewhat stopping your growth… Your life would be much easier without me Kazuya.”
“You’re right.” Kazuya replied.
Jin feels the pain that’s creeping it’s way to his heart.
“It’s been easy… and empty,” Kazuya continued before looking straight at Jin.
Jin was surprised to hear Kazuya’s words.
“But I can see you are happy… You always smile and laugh… I did not even see you shed a tear when we break up. I thought…”
“I’m faking it Jin. I always smile so you don’t have to worry. I always laugh so that you can see that I’m all right, that I can get by on my own. I never cried in front to you Jin. But it doesn’t mean that I did not cry at all. I just don’t want to see the guilt that you might feel in breaking up with me. I don’t want your pity Jin.” Kazuya said as tears continue to fall down from his eyes.
“Kazu…”
Kazuya gently hold Jin’s cheeks forcing the man to look at him before saying, “How can I be truly happy when you’re not with me? You are my happiness Jin.”
Tears fall down from Jin’s eyes. Kazuya gently kiss the those tears away before whispering, “I longed for you too, Jin. I always want to be with you, I want to share everything with you, every happiness and joy, every pain and sorrow. I want to spend my everyday with you and every night holding you in my arms. I love you Jin.”
Tears continuously run down on Jin’s face after hearing Kazuya’s confession. He hugs Kazuya tighter before kissing the tears on the man’s face.
“Then be with me, Kazu.” Jin said before kissing Kazuya on the lips.
‘This is all I’ve ever wanted and all that I’ve ever needed.’ Jin said to himself.
“I love you… Merry Christmas…”
“I love you too… Merry Christmas to you too…”
