Are you still having problems with it? I could attempt to offer tech support from 3,000 miles away..

Ah, this one I can help with! Rename the file to .avi and it should play fine - no conversion necessary.

Whee, thinky thoughts! I really love the compare and contrast using this week's ep and "Faith" -- which is one of my favorite all-time episodes, btw.

Oh, and we did have one classic rock song, during the teaching-Sam-to-fix-the-Impala scene -- Bad Company's "Crazy Circles". And omg I so love this choice, because check out the lyrics:

Crazy CirclesLife is like a merry go round painted horses riding up and down ( ... )

See, I knew they must have used one somewhere! That's what I get for only re-watching the bits I wanted to quote :D

hey, came over here from supernatural_tv. :)

those are extremely good points you're raising here. Faith is an excellent episode that deals with a lot of emotionally complex issues, including the belief in healing to be healed rather than the healing itself, as well as impending mortality and the frustration it incurs. Remember the girl's mother, angry at the fact her daughter was going to die for no reason, and wondering why she had to make such a sacrifice when someone like Dean got to be saved ? Sam seems to think it is definitely unfair as well, although, like Dean points out all the time, he made a deal, he was definitely conscious of the consequences of his actions ( ... )

as hanncoll said, the song is by Bad Company, and I'm so happy with the choice because a) very appropriate and b) it's not a typical BC song, and definitely not very known, so it may be happy to hear it.

I really like this deep thought. I recognized the whole 'Dean brushing off his death thing in that ep just like in Faith since Faith is my fave S1 ep.

Also, I think they are have less classic rock due to them having to pay a certain amount of money to the artists they use and I'm thinking the SPN budget has been cut. Think about it--we didn't even get S3 promo photos of the boys!
