How-dee peoples! Gah, its been a looooong time. I've been busy with the kids and the nephew and the house and the holidays. (and the word 'and') :P
My Fall/Winter line was a complete and utter disgrace. At least to me. I sold two ponchos, and would have sold more if I got off my ass and marketed myself a little better. Pfft. Leave it to me to sabotage my own success! LOL Anyway, I think I started way too even tho I started in the very early summer...and hey its a trend...I've started very late for Spring/Summer 2004. But I'm 3/4 finished with the patterns already. Nothing like a little failure to kick your own ass into action LOL! Now all I have to do is design/create/make a sample of the sarong/that doubles as a shawl...I think I have a pattern I could use, but it isn't my design, and therein lies the rub. I want this shit to be MINE! I don't want to copy other people's shit. I saw the website for the lady who did Jessica Simpson's shawl? Quality stuff man. Wish I could figure out the pattern...its a little too stringy for me, but she has other stuff, not just shawls...She's actually a model turned designer..word!
So yeah...I've got the brand of yarn picked out, and the color scheme I'm gonna use: Black, White, Navy, Red, Tangerine, Lavender, Turquoise, Apple Green and Azalea pink...and I've ordered three skeins of each color to make samples to take pictures of....Hey, if I don't get my website up in time, there is always ebay :)I'm finished designing and writing out the patterns for my Bucket-hat and Hand-bag. Next the shawl.. And those will be the only 3 things I will be offering. I was thinking about making halter tops too, but that will have to be on a custom basis, since they require more time and yarn.
I wouldlike to make ponchos too, because they would be a nice cover up,but I don't know, I think the sarong/pareo thingy will work out better.
