Because omg shut up and go away forever, Bruce. NO ONE WANTS YOU HERE. Why the fuck would he get to make that decision? I DON'T UNDERSTAND, COCO. I NEVER WILL! The Batgirl mantle has become so intrinsically tied to Cass's identity! And if she wants to give that up, then that is her decision!
And then Bruce is like "oh and p.s. please go away to Hong Kong for no reason." She's never shown to have any sort of cultural connection to the city or to China itself (which, another issue for another time). She doesn't speak Cantonese, Bruce! Batgirl shows her difficulties acclimating to English for YEARS and now you're randomly going to ship her off to another country where she will not know the local language. I JUST HATE BRUCE AND DC SO MUCH ALJKghsjlds;hja;
And if Bruce had to be an asshole, couldn't they at least have followed through and shown us more about Cass and her transformation into Black Bat?? I WANTED TO SEE HOW CASS WAS DOING! I WANTED TO SEE STEPH WORRYING ABOUT HER IN BATGIRL! I WANTED TO SEE THEM MEET UP AGAIN AND WORK OUT THEIR DIFFERENCES AND HUG AND FIGHT CRIME!
