MUSIC CRAP

So, I haven't actually posted anything on LJ for more than a year. I wish I could say I've been busy, but more often than not, it's been a TRIPLE-COMBO of avoidance and laziness and personal expectations of GREATNESS FOR EVERY POST. Maybe someday I will get over that! Until then, I'll just hang out on tumblr.

However, I did find things of actual substance to post, and I figured LJ was the better place for them to reside.

OKAY these are not actually pieces from the Kinderszen work by Schumann! They are collected recordings from various stages of musical development that have been popping up around my room in the midst of spring cleaning. I've been wanting to post what I have from my senior recital for a while, and decided to put these up to remind myself that I actually have improved over time. (NO VIV, YOU DID NOT WASTE MORE THAN A DECADE OF YOUR LIFE, STEADILY GETTING WORSE AT YOUR CHOSEN TRADE! YOU JUST... DECIDED TO PURSUE A DIFFERENT TRADE ENTIRELY, RENDERING THOSE YEARS USELESS IN A COMPLETELY NEW WAY!)

An Allemande from a Bach French Suite, recorded when I was 12:

Automne, a concert etude by Cecile Chaminade, recorded when I was 14:

A piano trio with flute, cello, and piano by Weber, recorded when I was 16 (hahaha, this was from a concert, so there is applause the end, sorry):

I'll probably post the senior recital recordings over the weekend. And then hopefully, I will get back to something resembling an update schedule here? I NEED TO WRITE MORE.
