Feist. Guh.
Regardless of the two and a half hour drive to and from Boulder, the day was beyond amazing. Why?
We were front row. Against the STAGE.
Feist jammed out little riffs a billion times right in my FACE because of said position.
Security became bitter with me for recording, so I had to take pictures with no flash on the sneaks afterwards. No idea why, since every other person in the theater was taking pictures like crazy. Oh well. I think I blinded her thoroughly when she first came out and twanged her guitar at my eyeball.
After the show, I hung around and I got a set list. So Adam, (he got a set list too) and I headed outside to her bus after collecting our cars and moving them closer. We hopped out to where some folks were standing and hanging around. Next thing you know, Leslie Feist comes around I say Hi, she says Hey, we chat a bit. I get her to autograph my set list, which she makes fun of as she doodles. "Ooo. We didn't play that song... this one got moved here... oh well!" Then I told her about my Laura. My canadian that got me into her music. "Oh, where's she from?" "New Brunswick." "Oh, I have family there. Have you been?" "Yeah, I went last august, it's really beautiful there." "Yeah, it is, isn't it?" Then I got a photo with her. Ahaha, she put my sharpie in her teeth. *dorkspaz* It was great. We thanked her, were about to leave and I was like "Hey! my Feist-bitten sharpie!" so I felt like a cheap ass going back "Oh sorry! I'm always stealing sharpies!" "no no, it's fine, i'm sorry!" ahaha. But it was great. We thanked her again and yeah.
Drove home, and uploaded the pictures. Weeoo.
Oh, and Boulder? I know you're a college town. But really. Do you all have to wear backpacks AND big strappy clunky sandals or Crocs? It's like no one believes in normal SHOES there. So weird. And every fifteen feet, you have someone playing an instrument for money. One kid was playing a guitar, another a clarinet, an old guy a trumpet, there were guitar players scattered around, oh, and a one man band. lol.
And photos, for Aya's viewing pleasure. ;)
