argh
I just finished watching this week's New Zealand's Next Top Model and I've never been so disgusted before. It's such blatant favoritism, it's not even funny. A girl who can't walk and doesn't try (and it's obvious by her walk AND photo -- I mean, really, how dull and boring was that photo?) gets called over a girl who CAN walk and took an amazing photo. All because the judges are ignoring performance in favor of what they think they can see. Heck, I can't even remember her name -- she's just the girl with the freckles and the shitty attitude.
And then there's Dakota. Dakota should have been sent home this week, but she wasn't even in the bottom three. I don't know why they allowed her to stay AT ALL. She did everything wrong and was embarrassing to watch when trying to mingle with other people from the fashion industry. It was repulsive and I don't think she learned her lesson or will manage to grow up a little. They just let her go for another week for no reason at all.
Aafreen got kicked out this week because she complained about the bird in the photoshoot. It was a stupid move, but Dakota had complained about the bird, as well (just moreso and not in front of the judges). Aafreen deserved the bottom two, but didn't deserve to be sent away just for that.
I dunno if I want to watch this if it continues like this. At this rate the girl whose name I can't be bothered to remember and Dakota will be the final two. Won't that be the shittiest top two ever? Worse than any of the other NTMs and that's saying something.
