getting out of dodge

Aug 25, 2007 20:01

less than 48 hours and i'll be back in my beloved city.
i really love kalamazoo. it has a cozy feel to it. and i like when it rains.

got an email from my photo I teacher the other day; he wants us to have a 100-200$$ camera, film, and some unknown textbook with us on the first day of class.
i was a little upset, because even to order a camera or something online probably wouldn't get there before the 4th. ugh.
but i found the textbook on amazon for 50% cheaper than the bookstore, so that's on the way, and i found a camera that i really like.

200 bux. walmart.
so i have it with me, which is a relief. haven't found film yet, though. i need b&w, but not the c-41 process kind. walmart doesn't even have b&w. boo.
i'm so looking forward to the class, though. the teacher seems really passionate about what he does.
and it's my only studio class this semester. hopefully i can produce some good pieces for my portfolio.

my whole room is pretty much empty. just a couple of boxes and containers and a whole trunk full of artsy shit. i suppose i need it, though.

see you on the flip side.
