When you're on a crowded, rush hour brown line train, it's best to hold the poles instead of leaning against them or wrapping yourself around them. Oh, and when someone needs to get off, if you're one of the people leaning against that little "wall" by the door, step off the train. Just a thought, assholes.
Last night I had a really vivid dream about being pregnant. I had a feeling I was pregnant and decided to go to the doctor to confirm. First Scott was going to take me, then my parents, then Cara. I think people kept passing me off because I kept having to pee every 5 minutes and they couldn't spend the whole day taking me to the doctor. I missed my appointment since I had to pee all the time. I guess in the end I didn't get to find out if I was pregnant because I woke up having to pee REALLY bad.
I had a really good weekend filled with lots of Scott. Friday I was hella pissed that I didn't get out of work early. They let most the guys go, operating on a "skeleton crew", meaning only one team member had to stay. But the front and back had to be covered, even though: 1) no one called all day; 2) nothing came in all day; 3) nothing was being sent out; and 4) even if 1, 2 or 3 happened, the "skeleton crew" was most likely drinking and playing in the pub and wasn't at their desk to do anything about it. We closed an hour early, but 4:00 is later than 2:00. Fuckers. Scott got to my place almost as soon as I got there though, and cuddling all night made it hard to stay mad.
Saturday I got up to do a 5 miler with a marathon buddy in preparation for next week's
8k Shamrock Shuffle. We did it in 67 minutes, which is a 13:24/mile pace. Seeing as the only real running I've done since the marathon, aside from 20-25 minutes on a treadmill, is a 4 mile run the day before New Year's, I'm pretty excited. I came home, showered, and jumped into bed with Scott. I slept for 4+ hours in hopes of staying awake for a party at Bry's. Despite a brief period of time when I didn't know what was going on around midnight, I kept myself awake until 2am.
Sunday Scott and I laid around pretty much until my meeting. The meeting was pretty small. Afterwards we went for Thai food. Paul and I wandered around stores for a bit. I did some laundry. Something at home didn't feel right, probably dread of returning to work (or that I'd started to get used to Scott being around).
Things for this week:
1. keep working on Step 4 stuff.
2. work out 2-3 times to prep for Sunday's run.
3. stop by Fleet Feet to exchange and purchase more sports bras.
4. watch DVDs on the new DVD player from Bry.
5. remember to hit the Alateen workshop on Saturday (i'm really scared i'm going to forget to go).
6. prepare for a busybusy Sunday of the 9:30 Shamrock Shuffle, 2:00 meeting, and 9:00 Brenda Weiler show at Uncommon Ground.
*NOTE* anyone in Chicago who wants to join the small party of Rebecca, Asha (my hs friend), and I for dinner pre-Brenda Weiler should let me know so I can add you to our reservation. be forewarned that you will likely run into James who's last name I can't recall, Ashley Bagot, and my psycho-ex-friend.
