I hope that those travelling to VVC will have a safe journey, especially if you're flying, given the current flight restrictions and general unease. I know that those attending will have a great time.
I'm making my annual plea for VVC attendees to please, please also post your con reports and vid recs and reviews to the Vidder list! (Or really, any mailing list you are on that has vid discussions.)
If you are posting to LiveJournal - or any other online blog - remember, it really does only take a minute to cut and paste your report, recs, and reviews to a mailing list. Honestly, just a minute: copy, cut and paste. And those of us who are on mailing lists will appreciate it mightily!
With VVC attendance capped at 100, and over 1200 people on the Vidder list, we're depending on you lucky attendees to let us know all about the vid greatness that we're missing - particularly since the VVC vid show DVDs won't be available for purchasing after the con.
So please, take just a minute and post to the list(s) of your choice. It's dead easy for those posting, especially if you've already written it up for a blog/LJ - and I know that you are writing because each year there are literally hundreds of VVC blog/LJ posts. Trying to track down a hundred different LJ/blogs and troll through them looking for VVC details is a nightmare. Help a fellow vid fan out, cross-post to a list.
Most importantly, posting VVC reports, recs, and reviews to a list helps bring some discussion back from the con to those who don't otherwise have access to it. More vid discussion is always a good thing - and the Vidder list is a natural place for such discussions to continue.
I probably should have posted this earlier in the week, as I know that many VVC attendees are already travelling today, but perhaps this will serve as a timely reminder once you're home again and catching up on things.
Enjoy the con!
Cross-posted in slightly different form to the Vidder mailing list.
