How cool is that? I hand-wrote it, and scanned it onto my computer! Haha, I gave in to downloading a free trial of PSP, that's how I cropped it and all. Anyways, I thought it was a neat little addition to the start of a journal. I'm sorry I missed posting yesterday! I had work from 10 to 4:30, then after that I went out with a long-time friend of mine and ended up sleeping over her house. So, here I am posting a day later at about 7 at night. I think my schedule says that on Sundays I talk about current events? I'm pretty sure, so here goes nothing.
This first current events is going to be based on Amy Winehouse. I personally do not like her music, and her way of life is disgraceful. I was interested in this article though. Her father announced that she has damaged lungs and an irregular heartbeat. That doesn't sound so healthy. The singer supposedly had permanetly damaged her lungs by smoking crack-cocaine and cigarettes. Her father Mitch, announced that the docters told him that Amy has an early stage of emphysema and an irregular heartbeat, and that she will have to wear an oxygen mask unless she stops smoking and doing drugs. Mitch says "There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She has 70 percent lung capacity." Winehouse also collapsed at her house a while back at her North London home while signing autographs for a few fans. She was immediatly taken to the hospital and remained there all week.
I think this is just repetitive and annoying. I mean, you'd think she'd learn her lesson after a few incidents involving drug and alcohol abuse. She's ignored the warnings and now she's in big trouble. Emphysema is a terrible sickness and kills. I don't like her music, but it would honestly be a shame to see her tear away like that. I mean it is controllable. I think Winehouse should get a good 5 months of rehab.
