On Friday, April 8th. I drove my car down from the hills of West Liberty accompanied by my friend Mikhail. On this venture we hoped to purchase items from a discount clothing store but what first came to be our adventure come to us as the brakes went out in my car . It was panic that set inside of me when I pushed down on the brake and it just wouldnt stop the car. I pressed the gas on accident, thinking that it was indeed the brake and this could not be happening. Swirving to the other lane, with no car present sent my tires peeling as well as my heart beating miles beyond the car. But I pumped the brake again and it slowed the car down in time for me to get into the correct lane and at a same pace behind the car which was previously only moment away from meeting the front of my car. After I stopped the car on the side of the road to inspect it , just in case there was something that I could possibly do to make the brakes work just alittle better to get us into town. My best solution was to pump the brake until we reached town and got to a mechanic. Finally reaching one, both of our little hearts alittle shaken, mine alittle calmer then my companions left the car to be inspected by professionals. Since we were so very close to my Aunt's employment to see if we could hitch a ride. It so happened she was leaving and would be more then happy to drive us to my parent's house. There we were greeted by my very unfriendly father who blamed me for the car problem. He said that I should have been out running around in the car. Little did he know there was little of running inside the car to be had and infact car were meant for running. In the absence of my father ( I had sent me finally to the mechanic's place where I left the car) Mikhail and I laid on the picnic table in the sun and watched the fish in my backyard pond having meaningless chit chat. The pup named Cosmo played around our feet and jumped in and out of the murky waters of the pond to gasp in his teeth the folige growing from its bowels. I frantically picked up the phone from the house and dialed Frank's number hoping for salvation in his presence as well as in his automobile far far away from the displeasing characteristics of my father. It seemed forever till this plea was met and I had to toil over dumb conversation with my parental unit. The mother figure being much more pleasant then the father.
Finally when Frank arrived the house was already full of guest such as the neighbors and a uncle whom is having marriage problems and is now sleeping in my bedroom at home. Salvation and the day drifted back to normalacy in my eyes.
Back at West Liberty, Mikhail and I were on duty for the night and didnt talk much but kept ourselves quite busy with projects. We were exhausted of much conversation from the adventure we had earlier in the day. I made some phone calls and finished my bulletin board for my floor . Rounds were uneventful and I was happy to retire to my room at midnight.
