Bus. Big bus. Shitloads of space to lose items. Not quite, but Toshiya would probably manage to lose something in a 2x2m paddling pool with no water in it. “Kao? Have you seen my belt?” Kaoru ducks deeper behind his magazine. “Nope.” Now, don’t laugh. Just don’t laugh. “What belt anyway?” He hears Toshiya rummage around at the back, going through all the cases. Even his own. Brilliant. “The black one with the big, golden buckle. You know? The square one?” Sure. “Ah yeah, that one. Nope, haven’t seen it.” Just.don’t.laugh. “Honestly, if I forgot it at the last hotel, I’ll go berserk. I’ll go and ask Boss.” Kaorus only reply is a lame “Have fun, darling” and he dares to lower his magazine, once Toshiya has rushed out.
He looks up as he sees Die passing by, eyebrows slightly raised. “Aren’t you gonna tell him?” The leader smirks. “Nah, not yet.” Die shakes his head, grinning and moves to the other side of the bus, just to find his timid better half curled up on the front leather seat, head buried in a book. “Won’t you come out? The weather’s good.” A low “hmm…” is the only sign that Shinya’s actually still alive and Die sighs heavily. “Oi.” He knows that taking away Shinyas books automatically means death penalty - respectively a night on the couch - but since that was quite hard in a bus, he dares and carefully steals the book from Shinyas hands.
“Let’s go for a walk. Meet some people, fresh air-“ “Find some beer.” Die needs his entire strength, not to blush right now. “Got’cha, huh?” Shit, he does blush. “Well… yeah. See, it’s more fun with you around. And you don’t have to drink.” This time Shinya sighs just as heavily. “No, I won’t. I’ll be the one making sure you don’t molest those American guys. I know.” But eventually he does get up from the seat. And eventually he does smack Die around the head with the book, playfully, just to steal a small kiss from him and then slip around him to get out.
Meanwhile Toshiya has the entire parking side turned upside down. Roadies and staff people rushing from right to left, fiercely looking for Mr Bassist-san’s beloved belt, as he refuses to perform without it that evening. Actually Toshiya quite enjoys the sight, even though he’s still pissed that his belt his gone.
Kaoru - alarmed by the sudden tizzy outside - steps out next to Toshiya and needs a minute to regain his composure. “I won’t let you go out by yourself anymore. It’s like putting the cat among the pigeons.” Toshiya snorts. “My belt’s gone.” Like that explained all the upheaval around. Shinya and Die step out next to them, looking around - Shinya not really impressed, Die rather confused - and the younger guitarist clears his throat. “Kao…”
Right. Maybe it was about time now. “Tosh? Could you lift your shirt for a second?” The bassist turns his head. “What the? Perv, we’re in public.” Kaoru rolls his eyes, lifting Toshiyas shirt, just to disclose a black belt with a square golden buckle, sitting perfectly on the bassists’ hips. There’s silence for a minute. And then… “YOU FUCKING KNEW I WAS WEARING IT ALL ALONG?!”
While Kaoru rushes back into the bus, ducking to make sure nothing comes flying after him, Shinya pulls Dies arm. “Let’s go for a walk.” Die grins, grabbing the drummers’ hand, carefully not to break him. He knows that Shinya is not that fragile, he just likes being loving. “Let’s go beer hunting!”
