So today is Sunday, and I have been worthless. Completely, totally worthless.
I had high hopes for this weekend...plans on getting so much done. The walls in the kitchen and hallway need scrubbing in order to get them painted. The bathroom needed cleaning. The living room needs to be moved around, and the walls scrubbed so they too can be painted. The basement needs organizing so we can start building the new bedroom and a utility workspace so we have a place to put the sewing machine and all the things we use to create other stuff with. My husband had plans on moving the TV/Computer room around so that it is more functional. I also have much laundry waiting patiently for me to get around to finishing up, most of which are hand me downs that need to be packed up and sent to my brother for his two young boys.
Well, how did that all go?
Well, it turns out that I ended up going into work for a good part of Saturday. When I got home I had a nasty headache, and ended up sleeping for a couple of hours. After all that, I was pretty much a waste of human flesh, just sitting around watching the television mindlessly.
Today, I took my oldest son out for a haircut and a bit of shopping. I need a haircut too, but it can wait..... It's waited for over a year, what's a few more weeks? After bringing home supper and hanging around for a little bit, I became engaged in some stuff on the computer. My husband was engrossed in his football game, and we just didn't get around to the chores that have been haunting us for weeks. Oh well....
The moral of this sad story? Laundry, wall washing and things that need organizing will all wait. And wait. And waaaiiit. Forever it seems. It's kind of like dirty dishes...it is always there waiting patiently for your attention. Ugh...I think I need a beer....
