Hermione was pulled out of the party, an angry looking Draco pinning her to a wall. Meeting his cold gaze squarely, she, unlike everyone else, wasn't afraid of his wrath.
"What are you doing here with the Weasel?" he asked through gritted teeth. She gave him a glare, pain slightly edging her anger.
"Why do you care? As far as I'm concerned I'm no longer your business" she stated, brushing past him and moving back towards the party. He tugged her arm, spinning her around to face him again.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Ron asked me to marry him" she murmured and she watched as he froze.
"I'm going to ring that son-of-a-bitch's neck so badly he's--" Draco muttered but Hermione cut him short.
"When were you going to tell me about Astoria Greengrass?" she asked, tears stinging her eyes. He paused, surprised yet again. He had been meaning to tell her about that incident, but somehow, he still hadn't gotten around to it. He hadn't wanted to tell her like this, but it seemed like he was out of time.
"How did you know about that?"
"Glad to see you're not denying it" she stated dryly, pain making her voice sting all the more.
"It's all a misunderstanding my mother started. I'm not really engaged to Astoria."
"Well try telling that to Astoria" Hermione exclaimed.
"What do you want from me?" he sneered, his irritation returning. She looked at him, her eyes watery again. He grounded his teeth together, fuming silently to kill that red headed prick.
"I've waited for you for two years now Draco, you decide."
"Oh and I'm going to say yes to Ron. At least he know's what he wants" she added, turning from him so that he wouldn't see her cry.
"Like hell you are" he hissed grabbing her wrist. He tugged her back towards him and grounded his lips on hers. Weather he unwillingly admitted it or not, Granger was what he wanted and he'd be damned if he'd let her go to some arse with no more than two possibly working brain cells. No way was he ever letting that happen, he wouldn't be Draco Malfoy if he did.
