The days fly by so quickly I have to constantly remind myself of all the things I need to catch up with. Working out and updating my LJ are always on my to-do list. I'm proud to say I dragged my butt to the gym twice last week. I intended on going yesterday and today but ended up getting stuck at work way too late on both days. On a brighter note, it feels great to step out of the office at the end of the day and be greeted with dusk and not darkness :) It's starting to get darker at a later time with each passing day. Looove it.
Work has been requiring me to write a lot more. I've concluded that my writing sucks and that lack of practice isn't helping. I always stray away from writing because it takes me so long to craft a page. There's only approximately 5 hrs at the end of each work day until it's bed time. After making dinner, eating, unwinding a bit, clean up, it's just about time to climb to bed and call it a day. The most frustrating part is I can never get into bed on time so that I get 8 full hours of sleep. I wake up feeling sulky that I didn't get enough of sleep. There's just always something to do. I'm about to be late again because I'm 7 minutes away from my bed time.
A little update on what's going on with me...
On top of my full time job, I'm taking another re course and now I'm also a part-time loan officer. My dad's re company wouldn't take me as a part-time agent so this was another way to utilize my license.
This weekend, I'm going to Vancouver with Ed, his family, his sister-in-law's family and friends, and my mom. We are planning on hitting the slopes at Whistler. I've never been to Whistler before and I'm not sure when I'll be in Canada again so I do hope the plan falls through. It'll also be my first time flying first-class so I'm looking forward to that :)
This was an attempt to practice writing and cross another item off my to-do list. Takes me forever to update once but as promised, here are a few pics of my
.
When I was making arrangements to move into the condo, my mom insisted that I get a bed for the second bedroom since Ed and I are not married, completely throwing off our plans to get a futon for guests in our office/lounge room. So I picked out this daybed. :)
Here's how the rest of our office/lounge looks. We painted the walls in a soft green color to create a relaxing and cool ambiance but you can't tell from the pictures.
This is our dining room.
This is our living room.
But they're actually in the same room because our place really isn't that big :)
