Congratulations again, Seras Victoria-san. As a man who doesn't believe in a thing like luck, I have to say, the best man (or in this case, woman), has won. How nice for us, too-- there's nothing quite like a person in uniform ( Read more... )

Why don't you believe in luck, Urahara-san?

The only thing that's got this man anywhere in the world is a load of hard work and a handful of cold hard cash!

Eh. I believe in luck. If one plus gets sent to soul society and the other gets eaten by a hollow because the shinigami didn't get there in time, I don't know what it is but luck.

Survival of the fittest?

Well, it's not that one plus is stronger than another, usually. It really has only to do whether the plus was fortunate enough that a shinigami was close enough to get to them. You don't get eaten or not because of strength. It's just luck.

No, I disagree. I definitely think strength has something to do with it.

Have you eaten a plus then?

I like sand myself. And fish. Western food makes me gassy.

Ah.

And what's your point?

I don't know. I don't want to talk about hollow things any more. Not a happy topic.

THEN WHY DID YOU BRING THEM UP?

I dunno. I think I had a point. Like, all pluses are pretty weak and you wouldn't know unless you had actually eaten one. But that seemed pretty morbid, so I decided not to say it.

The morbidity isn't the issue, arrancar-san.

Hollows eat pluses. No choice there. Sometimes a shinigami shows up, sometimes one doesn't. For the plus, either they are lucky or not.

And I've already said, arrancar-san. Whether luck exists or not, I'm not a man ignorant and fearful enough to believe in it.
