Not Cool

I do not like the idea of famous people being real people. Everyone always talks about wanting to meet so-and-so the famous actor/writer/musician or whatever but I don't. It takes away from the fame.
For one thing, you already have an image, and idea about who they are in your head. You think that they would say certain things a certain way. Actually seeing them would prove that image wrong and force you to put someone else on the pedestal in your mind.
But mostly, seeing them for real makes them real. You watch the sitcom, and you watch the shows about the actors in the sitcoms and it's one and the same. It's all entertainment and fantasy. We don't want them to be real. We want to escape to the fantasy world and if the inhabitants of that world are real, then their world is real and the fantasy doesn't exist and we have no place to escape.

Besides, who in their right mind would live in Menomonie?
