Six am to 8 pm is a long-ass time to not see my apartment. I hate Tuesdays. Also, whose idea was it to have my annual observation on the same day as standardized testing and the day after I'm required to attend an out-of-building meeting during the school day? Cuz it's a bad, bad idea.
That aside, my professor created quite an extended metaphor in class tonight comparing allophones to Superman and Clark Kent. It went on for a good 20 minutes, in great detail and enthusiasm, and even made detours to compare the allophones to Spiderman and Batman too. Our professor is a pretty stereotypical Scandinavian woman otherwise, so it just about made my night.
