I can't believe how long this took me.  No wait, it's not even that.  It's that it never occurred to me to even fathom this thought.  Which was, what would make me happy?  Then I feel conflicted because I feel like that's being selfish to think of myself and making myself happy.  But, then it hit me.  If I actually do what makes me happy it also ( Read more... )

are you speaking about what will make you happy doing all the time or some of the time? Do you mean something that wil make you happy in general or things that will pepper your life with joy so that it goes down easier?

i think something happened when one's happiness had to be job based. i don't think that's true. i think a job that is at least nifty is very handy to have and can help float a person's spirits, but a job will always be little more than tasks that a person completes for other people. even if you are a professional gambler... someone is essentially paying you for the thrill of betting against you... i think a lot more of what the answer to DO for a living is something that will enable you to really LIVE.

part of Life is working and living well at it includes working well, but some of it is just bolstering up an outcome that's mean the chances of great experiences is more likely than normal.

by that way, this was a great entry for all its coy vagueness and it got me thinking. thanks. (p.s. this comment has less spelling mistakes.)
