So lately several guys have been complaining about how the "good guy always comes in last." AKA - girls don't go for the nice guys, they like jerks. lol wellll... that's hilarious considering the fact that I, nor any girl I know, actually sets out looking for the biggest jerk to date. However, I will admit that most girls usually end up dating guys that lie, cheat, and could really care less about anyone but themselves.
Here's the catch - it's not that girls like this kind of thing. It's called fraud. Girls end up dating guys who "feed them lines" when, at the time, they sound like genuine feelings. Those kinds of guys will say anything and everything to get what they want, and really could care less about the feelings of the girl involved (but doesn't let the girl know this). So basically the guy just wants to have a girl around that he can make fake promises to, never call, use, and get basically whatever it is he was wanting out of that particular "relationship." So, it's not that girls "want" to date jerks. It's the simple fact that the jerks are the ones that feed lines and make amazing promises that they'll never keep. The jerks are the good actors who just happen to utilize their skills in using girls and being "players." lol The downfall of this is that the "good guys" are usually the ones that hear about all of this, because the good ones are the only ones that actually care enough to sit for any amount of time and listen to a dumb girl cry and complain about how bad she screwed up and how much she was screwed over.
So really, girls (or any that I know) want nothing more than to date a genuine, nice, sweet guy. The problem is figuring out which guys are which. Are they genuine or are they just putting on a show? This is only figured out weeks or months later when looking back on the whole situation. So life is a guessing game and, unfortunately, we make the wrong decisions the majority of the time. That's life. But no, girls do not want to date jerks. Everyone wants the same things in life, whether you're a guy or a girl and that is to simply live a happy life surrounded by people you love and who love you in return. No where does being around jerks and liars fit into that scenario. So yes, good guys probably do get the shaft a lot of the time, but it's not something that happens because "girls only want to date jerks." That is the furthest thing from the truth.
But yeah, had a huge discussion about that last night and I decided I'd share my thoughts with you all. lol :-P
