Well.......yeah
So this week just keeps getting better and better. Not only did I have the flu and lose the most amazing dog in the entire world...I'm pretty sure my car is now totalled.
I was pulling out of 18th street between the apartments and commons (you cannot see a thing either way because of all the parked cars). I look at Ally - who's in the passenger seat - and ask if she sees any cars coming, because I sure couldn't. She couldn't see anything either. So I decided since no cars had come by in the past 20 or 30 seconds, we're probably ok. Nope. Psych. The front end of my little kia rio caught the one car that was actually driving (if not speeding) through. I was making a left turn and by the time my car came to a stop...it was facing the total opposite direction of which i was turning - neat. Luckily no one was seriously injured. One lady in the other car wasn't wearing a seat belt, so she hit her head pretty hard on the windsheild. Other than that, Ally and I just have some bumps and bruises here and there. Nothing that a week or two of time won't heal. I think my car is about cashed out. Pretty sure I lost it. I guess we'll see what the insurance people say...but when I can't seem to find the head lights...and my front bumper (along with most of the front end of the car) can't be found...I'd say that's a good sign she's done. :-( But it's just a material possession. I'm not too worried about it. I'll eventually get another car. I'm just glad no one was seriously hurt. The cops were amazingly nice too. (of course that could've been because I was hysterical at the time...lol oops) However, good news...I'm not at fault, I don't think. There was obstruction to view and there was no stop sign present (city of Huntington's fault). So they really can't put blame on me....we'll see though I guess.
This definitely changes all plans of Georgia, visiting friends, and making random trips home and wherever else I would go. But that's life. Things happen for a reason. You just have to trust that everything will work out. Who knows? Maybe I'm supposed to be home this summer. Maybe something huge is going to happen (whether that be good or bad) and I need to be home for that. You never really know. Life is funny...things always work out..always.
They say bad things happen in threes...I'm hoping that's true.
