Remember how just under 24 hours ago (if you don't remember, you can just look down a few inches on my LJ page) I was talking about needing a job for after graduation?

I have an interview Friday morning. :D I don't know if this is going to be The One as far as job opportunities go (I still have a lot of research and applying to do), but I'm nonetheless excited. It's an exciting job opportunity, if nothing else. I think I would enjoy the job, although it might place me in Boston instead of NY, which would make me sad, but I don't really have anything tying me to NY anymore. It would be a well-paying job with fantastic benefits, though, and it's something that interests me instead of just filling the square for "will give me a paycheck." I will post details for my rabid fans (ha ha) if the interview goes well.

I am worrying about what to wear... My suit is home in Fairfield, so I can't wear that. This means I'm wearing my blouse with my sweater over it. Do I wear that with a dress skirt and pumps? Or do I wear that with dress pants? The skirt and pumps are allegedly better, except my pumps have a peep-toe and supposedly open-toe shoes are bad news for interviews, and since I already don't have a suit... The dress pants on the other hand are super nice (from Express!) and I can wear my black heeled boots with them (which I can't wear with the skirt for obvious reasons involving knee-high tight boots to job interviews). I have to carefully comb and style my bangs over my eyebrow piercing. I need to clear up my acne before Friday morning (why am I suddenly breaking out like a thirteen year old?). I need to somehow pull together some semblance of professionalism.

It's really hard to be professional when you just spent your evening watching "Hercules" with a roommate (H rocks, all the rest of you suck) and coloring Disney pictures. I colored in Sebastian standing over a starfish with his legs spread and his claws up in the air and a slightly pained yet proud expression on his face. I wrote in huge letters above his head "I POOPED!" I am going to hang it over the toilet.

Yeah. About that whole professionalism thing...

On the plus side, I finally got my thesis contract signed. My chair is a doll, and lived in Paris for a while, so we chatted about that. Tomorrow I finally register. On the down side, this means I have to start actually doing work. It's such a catch 22!
