dream - Black Pool
I can't remember when exactly I had this dream, perhaps a year ago or more, but the imagery in it continues to stick with me.
I am in some random open meadow space. There is absolutely nothing else surrounding the area, just more and more meadows. The sky is a dark blue color, and there is no sun or clouds. In the center of this area is what looks to be a large well or a large pool. It is circular, and is probably 6-10 feet in diameter. It is made up of large dark gray stones, which extend only about 1 foot or less off the ground. I begin to approach the pool. I have no idea how deep it is, but it appears to be shallow. I approach, and look into the water. It is completely black, and instead of seeing a live, healthy reflection of how I really look, I see a mummified woman who appears as though she is from the underworld. I know that I do not really look like this. I look like myself in the dream, but this is the reflection that I see in the water. She has no eyes, just black sockets where the eyes have rotted out. She is gray and yellow in color, and everything about her looks decayed. It is not scary to see her, just interesting.
