I am really sick of meeting people who say things to Aaron like; “Dude, how did you get her to marry you?” “What drugs are you giving her?” “You married way out of your league.” “Is she blind?” And I’m sick of people saying things to me like; “Are you being held against your will?” “Have the roofies worn off yet?” “Was this an arranged marriage?” Aaron tells me that they are just complementing me, but the joke is old, not funny, and I’m sick of laughing it off. I know it’s not meant to be, but it comes across as an insult to us. It comes across as if people are saying we don’t belong together. Fair warning, the next person who tells me I’m not in his league is going to see daggers in my eyes.
