ARRRGGG
today i went to BOTH of my classes! woo hoo!! it was rather boring but i got pissed about the poverty level in farmville. Wanna hear something fucked up? i thought you would. Turns out the same dining hall staff we receive our meals from are on the receiving end of all the charitable food donation organizations in the area. It seems that regardless of our thousands of dollars of tuition our dining hall staff are paid minimum wage. not to mention we actually hired a third party company, aramark, to employ our workers so management is not community based, and the goal is cheap labor rather than using hte college to provide jobs to the community. This on top of the recent turmoil over the art on campus. Despite our art department and all its glory we are paying outside artists to place their art on campus. no one likes the art that is there and the artists didnt even stay on campus long enough to provide an explaination of their art to us. So we are spending entirely too much money getting huge art displays that no one likes when our own staff are going hungry. Isn't that disgusting, i wonder how much longer i can give them my money if they aren't going to change this policy.
